Task 1 Genre analysis  is a process of looking at several samples of a particular genre to analyse their similarities and differences in terms of their purposes, macrostructure and language choice. Content analysis  is a method where documents and content are studied, for example, Pictures and Audio files. Narrative analysis  is the method where one or more narrators get together and recount their story and how to appeal to their audience, they also discuss and compare different ideas for their narrative. Reception study  is when the viewer makes meaning of the media text that they are watching for example, whilst watching Charlie and the chocolate factory, the audience can tell the Charlie's family is poor boy the house they are living in and seeing that they are living on thin cabbage soup and most of them sleep in the same bed.
